Solar power in crisis-affected regions

Local ideas, practical infrastructure

The Altenburg Foundation works with Aid Pioneers, a Berlin-based non-profit organisation that connects locally led initiatives with the resources needed to deliver practical solutions.

The foundation provides operational seed funding for work supplying solar power to schools and hospitals in crisis-affected regions across Lebanon, Syria, Malawi, Uganda and Ethiopia.

Infrastructure shaped by local need

Schools and hospitals in crisis-affected settings need dependable power to sustain essential services.

Aid Pioneers works through local organisations, helping ideas developed close to the community reach implementation.
