Project overview

A school restored for local learning

Through our partner IPV, we supported a school in northern Syria for five years.

Our support covered running costs, teacher and staff salaries, fuel, stationery and classroom rehabilitation for a school serving approximately 900 boys and girls.

The school later transitioned to local-authority operation, with continuing support provided by another non-governmental organisation.

Who the project serves

Education for children in rural Aleppo

The project served the community in and around Daret Ezza, providing a local haven for learning during a period of profound disruption.

The Foundation’s role focused on the practical costs and repairs needed to enable the children to return to learning.
