Project overview

Progress through sport and mentorship

The Altenburg Foundation has worked closely with Performance Plus since its inception in 2016.

The organisation used sport, mentorship and guidance to support young people in building confidence, developing skills and considering routes into community contribution, sporting progress and future careers.

Performance Plus Sport has now merged with The Tim Henman Foundation, and with continued support from the Altenburg Foundation. Together they are creating opportunities that support and inspire children and young people to reach their potential. They work with schools and community-based organisations to deliver sport and education programmes for children with special educational needs and disabilities as well as those from low-income backgrounds.

Who the project serves

Young people supported to move forward

Since merging with THF, this project continues to deliver sport and education programmes for disadvantaged children and young people (up to the age of 25), focusing on those with special educational needs & disabilities and youngsters from low-income backgrounds.
